Hungary loves pillow fights and so should you

On Saturday April 6th 2013 huge pillow fights are planned to happen around the world! First Pillow Fight Day was organized back in 2008 as part of the  urban playground movement. The whole thing happens in form of a flash mob, larger group of people getting together to perform what seems like a completely pointless act, but is in reality trying to replace non-social experiences and give public spaces back to the people. Even back in 2008, among 26 participating cities, like New York, Paris, London, Hungary had not one, but 4 pillow fights in Budapest, Pécs, Szombathely and Székesfehérvár.

This year the list of participants is massive, and still growing. For example, you can go and have a pillow fight in Belgrade, Budapest, Riga, Warsaw.

See the full list here.

Check out the video of what it was like last year in Budapest:

and some amazing photos by our favorite Budapest photographer Krisztian Bodis

Hungary seems to be the most represented, if we don’t take USA into the account. Considering Hungarians love their weird customs that is not at all surprizing, right?
