The third beer festival in Buda castle started yesterday.

Beers from the best Hungarian breweries and beer factories as well as lots of German, Belgian, Czech beers! About 200 kinds of beer, too many to taste them all! And all this in the beautiful Buda castle. Daily ticket: 1999 HUF which comes with a free beer.

The stage is set up in the Lions Court. Yesterday A Nyughatatlan played covers of Johhny Cash, Bob Dylan and they even played Canned Heat. It was a great concert, but the audience was not too enthusiastic. Then came legendary Hungarian rap band, Ganxsta Zolee és a Kartel. Quite a change and they liked it much better. The last band yesterday was Balkán Fanatik.

Check out the full program here. Saturday is cover band day: The Doors, Joe Cocker and ZZ Top. I’ve seen The Doors emlékzenekar before and they do a great job, although the style of the guitarist is a bit distracting at times. Beautiful place, great music, excellent beers. See you there!
