According to the recent press release Budapest gained another Michelin star restaurant this year. The newest addition is the 12th district Tanti restaurant.

To recap, the first restaurant in Hungary to earn a Michelin-star, and the second in the central and Eastern European region after Prague’s Allegro was Costes, a restaurant located in Budapest downtown. This was in 2010 followed by a star again in 2011.

In 2011 another Budapest got the second one-star restaurant with Onyx.

The 3rd Michelin star followed in 2014 with Borkonyha/Winekitchen which was reviewed for us by our dear gastro contributor Aniko.
